A collective digital flame sustained by proximity, attention, and shared presence.

Naosphera takes the ritual of a constant fire and gives it a digital body: a two-and-a-half-foot LED sphere holding a live field of red, orange, and white light. Depth cameras read the distance and movement of people around it. From the moment the work begins, its flame is slowly fading. A person who approaches feeds the sphere with time, shifting its brightness, density, and motion. Each visitor enters the same unstable image. When several people gather around the sphere, their attention keeps the light active for longer. As the space empties, the sphere loses intensity and moves toward darkness. The work makes maintenance visible as a repeated public gesture. Naosphera gives a digital system one condition for life: people must choose to stay near it.
